Introduction:
Our ColorBright™ RGB 300 LED Strip Light is the quintessential RGB strip. With 300 color-changing LED chips over a 5-meter reel, this LED strip creates bold and beautiful colors with enough brightness to fill out rooms with breathtaking lighting patterns. Its powerful 5050 chip combines red, green and blue lights to create any color, while also creating a continuous line of light, thanks to its remarkable LED pitch of 3/4" (17mm).

The strips are fully dimmable, and can be set to many different modes depending on the controller they are paired with.

ColorBright™ RGB 300 LED Strip Lights are available in both 12V and 24V. The main difference between the two is that the 24V strips can be run for longer distances than the 12V strips can due to Voltage Drop; therefore it is recommended that you run no more than 16' in series when using 12V or 32' in series when using 24V.

These strips are also UL listed, which means they have been independently verified as safe for use within home and business.

Should you select 12V or 24V?
Depends on your application. The main difference between the two is the fact that the 24v strips can be ran for longer distances than the 12v strips can due to Voltage Drop. Voltage drop is the gradual decrease in voltage along a circuit. If your project requires a very long run of LEDs, we would recommend the 24v strips. However, there are also many projects that 12v is required (automotive or marine applications). Please feel free to live chat with us, email us, or call us with questions.

Before noticing any unwanted color variations or dimming at the end of your run of lights, it is recommended that you run no more than 16' in series when using 12V or 32' in series when using 24V.

Why choose ColorBright™ RGB 300 LED Strip Light:
ColorBright™ RGB 300 LED Strip Lights are perfect for applications that require not only adjustable color settings, but also high brightness lighting. This LED strip light offers bright colors, millions of possibilities, intricate customization, easy installations, and more. With an RGB controller, these strips can change to nearly any color combination you could think of, offering a wide range of creative options.

We have improved this LED strip light after years of being our best-selling product. Our ColorBright™ RGB 300 LED Strip Light now comes with a thicker, 4oz PCB for better heat dissipation and an improved lifespan, and at 130 lumens per foot, it is 20% brighter than the previous version. We have also worked to highlight the red section of this strip, which helps create a better, truer white color when all sections of the chips are on.

Question:

Q: How do I install RGB 300 LED strip lights?

Answer:

These LED strip lights need to use a RGB controller for them to work. Once you have selected the length of lights you want, you will have to select a power supply by calculating the wattage the length of strip will be using. When selecting a remote, make sure that you are not going beyond the wattage maximum for that particular controller.

Our ColorBright™ RGB 300 LED Strip Lights have 4 wires that need to go into their appropriate places within the RGB controller. Pay attention to the indicator markings on the strip.

Question:

Q: What is the difference between RGB 150, RGB 300, and RGB 600?

Answer:

The 150, 300, or 600 directly correspond to the number of LED chips per reel. The RGB300 has twice the amount of chips of the RGB150, so it emits twice as much light, and it requires twice the amount of power.

Question:

Q: Is there an outdoor option?

Answer:

Yes, we do carry a weatherproof Outdoor IP65 ColorBright™ RGB 300 LED strip light.

Question:

Q: I am using RGB lighting and want to control them via a DMX controller – are your lights fully controllable?

Answer:

Yes. Our lights work perfectly well with DMX systems. However, these strips are not individually-addressable. For example, if one chip displays red then all of the other chips will also show red. If you require chasing or independent-control then you will need to use a digital strip

Question:

Q: Which Power Supply do I need for my (x) feet of LEDs?

Answer:

The length of LED strip lights of your project will determine the size of the power supply you need. View our power supply chart to find the exact LED power supply you need.

Question:

Q: What is a 5050 SMD LED chip?

Answer:

5050 SMD (Surface Mounted Diode) represents the size of the LED chips on the strip. A 5050 SMD chip measures at 5.0mm x 5.0mm. Click here for more information on LED chip sizes.

Question:

Q: Can RGB chips be controlled independently?

Answer:

You need to use addressable LED chips which are normally found on digital strips, like our ColorBright RGB Digital Pixel Strip. You will also need a Digital Controller for this product, like our Juno™ Mesh Digital LED Controller.

Question:

Q: Can I hardwire RGB strips into a wall dimmer?

Answer:

The RGB strips are not compatible with conventional wall dimmers that are designed to be hard wired. Please contact the design team for design solutions.

Question:

Q: Can I cut the strips myself?

Answer:

Yes, LED trips are made to be cut to your desired length. Using sharp scissors, you can cut the strip every few inches.

Question:

Q: What is the maximum run length of RGB 300 strip lights?

Answer:

This is entirely dependent on the strip’s voltage. For 12v systems then you can run the lights up to 16’ 5” (1 reel). For 24v systems, the run length doubles to 32’ 10” (2 reels). Please contact our design team for help with larger projects.

Question:

Q: What is the product warranty?

Answer:

Because of our unyielding confidence in the quality of our product, we offer a 15-year warranty on our ColorBright™ RGB 300 LED Strip lights. For more info, please read our warranty policy.

Question:

Q: What is the lifespan of your strip lights?

Answer:

Our lights have been rigorously tested and have an expected lifespan of 50,000 hours before dropping to 70% luminosity. This means that if you were to use your lights 12 hours a day, every day, the lights would be expected to last longer than 10 years. Even after that time has elapsed, the lights will maintain a brightness of 70%. Higher-output strips require a heat sink to reach the expected lifespan and beyond.
